About This Round
On our way in to Jupiter we will pass Io at a distance of ~109,000 km. We will take 5 images of Io to look for surface changes and erupting plumes. Then we will begin imaging the northern hemisphere of Jupiter. The perijove point continues to move northward so we will continue to get ever-better pictures of the storms in the northern hemisphere and the northern circumpolar cyclones. Pictures of the equatorial zone are easier to interpret from a greater distance. The southern hemisphere may feature a flyover of one of the anticyclonic white ovals at the "string of pearls" latitude.
Perijove Predict Map
About Perijove Predict Maps

Every perijove pass we have the challenge of predicting where Points of Interest will be as the different zones of the planet have different wind velocities. This map shows our effort to rotate the latitudinal zones with their different wind speeds to predict what will be under the Juno groundtrack.

Winner Selection
The activity in the North Equatorial Belt continues to be a highlight.
