About This Round
As Juno's orbit evolves the inbound asymptote of the trajectory is crossing the orbit plane of the Galilean moons, giving us opportunities to get close to the moons that were not available in the prime mission. PJ37 brings the spacecraft to ~81,000 km from Europa. JunoCam images will have a resolution of ~53 km/pixel. We will have a good view of the terminator so we will be looking for any plumes that might be erupting - this is of course highly unlikely but we will take images anyway.

The pass past Jupiter will feature the usual high resolution images in the northern hemisphere, opportunities to study dynamics in the southern mid-latitudes and our outbound departure sequence.
Perijove Predict Map
About Perijove Predict Maps

Every perijove pass we have the challenge of predicting where Points of Interest will be as the different zones of the planet have different wind velocities. This map shows our effort to rotate the latitudinal zones with their different wind speeds to predict what will be under the Juno groundtrack.

Winner Selection
The inbound lightning sequence will not be executed in order to devote that data volume to the Europa pass.
