About This Round
As Juno's orbit around Jupiter has evolved so has the track of the spacecraft across Jupiter at perijove. JunoCam images had the terminator on the east side of the sunlit face when the mission started. At around PJ20 the groundtrack was near noon at PJ. Now, the terminator is on the west side. The orbit is still approaching and receding from Jupiter's night side, so we begin and end with lightning search images. Image resolution over the north pole continues to improve as the perijove latitude moves further north. We will image Io at a distance of about 350,000 km.
Perijove Predict Map
About Perijove Predict Maps

Every perijove pass we have the challenge of predicting where Points of Interest will be as the different zones of the planet have different wind velocities. This map shows our effort to rotate the latitudinal zones with their different wind speeds to predict what will be under the Juno groundtrack.

Winner Selection
As always we emphasize the poles in our plans. The slow departure from the south means that we will take multiple images covering the same territory, which will be used to analyze the wind field.
