About This Round
We are testing out a new spacecraft capability for pointing JunoCam. Ordinarily we need to take a full-spin image to capture the satellites. On this pass for the first time we will be pointing relative to the sun to image Ganymede. That means the image doesn't need to be as long, so we save data volume for more pictures of Jupiter.
Perijove Predict Map
About Perijove Predict Maps

Every perijove pass we have the challenge of predicting where Points of Interest will be as the different zones of the planet have different wind velocities. This map shows our effort to rotate the latitudinal zones with their different wind speeds to predict what will be under the Juno groundtrack.

Winner Selection
Our perijove pass after Ganymede will feature an approach lightning search, a close pass over the northern hemisphere, then a long departure looking back at the southern hemisphere and then end with more lightning searches as we depart.
