Jupiter's diverse and ever-changing cloud patterns sometimes resemble objects which we are familiar with on Earth. In celebration of Halloween, here is an image of a cloud formation located in the planet's Southern Hemisphere which looks like a Jack-O-Lantern. Two small vortices in the lower atmosphere form its "eyes," while a jagged line of clouds forms its "mouth." It even has angry "eyebrows," which are actually part of a ring of clouds encircling a larger storm to the north.

This image is a subframe of a photo acquired during Juno's 29th orbit. The original image was entitled "PJ29 Jet S4." Contrast and color enhancements were applied in Adobe Camera Raw.
