A paper published today, from the JunoCam and JIRAM teams, shows that the clusters of cyclones at Jupiter's poles are actually stable polygons: a pentagon in the south and a modified octagon in the north. Here are composites of the two poles from multiple perijoves. A detailed report on the JunoCam results has been posted at https://britastro.org/node/12654; the PDF and the illustrations from it are also on the new Think Tank page on this JunoCam web site, under 'Circumpolar cyclones (CPCs)'.
