If it's an occultation, it might probe Jupiter's translucent atmosphere.

The image is a draft. So, some color-misalignment is possible. But a misalignment of the color channels would be on both sides of the moon.

The image is actually a 4-fold enlarged crop of a draft of approximately the camera's resolution.
