A part of image PJ46_102 enlarged by a factor of 5 relative to the original data. This is an approximately true color/contrast image. This image shows a dimly lit area near the terminator. It appears bluish because of blue light caused by Rayleigh scattering in Jupiter's atmosphere above the dimly lit clouds. Jupiter's blue sky is also prominent at the limb. South is up.
