Mission Phase : PERIJOVE 38

Comparison of images from PJ36 and PJ38, showing the little outbreak in the whitened STB latitudes that had begun on August 7. The PJ36 image showed that it had developed into a turbulent little cyclonic patch, which might have expanded like Clyde's Spot a year earlier. Actually, it seemed to be fading in ground-based observations; but the PJ38 image shows it to have about the same size and activity as at PJ36. It's a feature to be watched. This is just one figure from the report on PJ38 that I have just posted on the Think Tank pages. (Reports on the images at each perijove can be found there, as well as on our BAA pages at: https://britastro.org/section_front/15. There is also a full report on these STB outbreaks there.) -- John Rogers.
