Lower Great Red Spot Atmospheric Flow [ID: 159]

As is visible in an earlier NASA animation of atmospheric flow on Jupiter (http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/images/content/388629main_jupiter_skyflat.gif), a few small dark spots can be seen disappearing as they pass below the Great Red Spot. It would be very interesting to observe these spots in greater detail to see whether they are disappearing below the upper layers, or into the GRS itself. Or, perhaps they may just be dissipating?

A closer photograph of this region may show how the red spot effects the layers and clouds around it. Could be a really interesting spot for further investigation.

I wonder what the makeup of this atmospheric location is.

The atmosphere might take damage from the storm

I would like to see how it would like on the cameras from Juno.

This could be very exciting to see how the edge of the GRS interacts with the rest of the atmosphere!

I would like to see some current pictures of the Red Spot. To me, I have always thought the Red Spot was really cool and I am really curious about it. Since cameras are getting better and better, some updated pictures couldn't hurt.

I would also like to see the lower red dot. I think it is an interesting part of Jupiter.

The Red Spot is a hot topic pertaining to Jupiter and much has been described about it. I would love to see a closer real-time image of the popular spot so I can learn more about it's appearance and components.
