Animated GIF derived from five north polar equidistant planetocentric azimuthal, high-passed and contrast-normalized of PJ31 seen by JunoCam.

The animation is running forth and backward, kind of smoothed blink. For further smoothing, avergages of two consecutive images are insterted into the sequence. Areas that are invalid in one or more images are blackened in all images of the sequence.

Flickering, temporary bright spots, lines, colored stripes are mostly residuals of camera artefacts, energetic particle hits, or processing artefacts.

The north polar cyclone seems to be displaced by about one degree from the pole towards the dayside. So, we are lucky to discern its rotation even around the core despite the north pole still being located on the night side just behind the nominal terminator.
