A color ratio image created from image PJ25_18 by dividing the blue channel image by the red channel image. This makes color differences more obvious. Areas that appear bright in this image are bluer than the dark areas. Jupiter's polar regions are known to be bluer than areas farther from the poles and this is obvious here. Here the transition to a more blue color typically occurs near latitude +67° but the exact latitude where this happens varies with longitude in this image.

The top of the image appears very noisy due to the faint illumination near the terminator.
