An artistic illustration of potential. In the background you have NGC6729. Here you have starbirth with emission nebula. Dark stellar dust is reflecting light from local stars. Travel approx. 424 light years from NGC6729 to our solar system and you have Jupiter. Jupiter being a large ball of gas and liquid, formed from stellar material, but not reaching a point of fusion. Jupiter could of been a star with a bit more mass. In it's current form Jupiter shows off it's dynamic molecular mix that is ever-changing on it's surface.
