This image shows NN-LRS-1, LRS for "Little Red Spot". It is reprojected from raw Perijove-07 image #53 to 2017-07-11T01:43:50.000 on Juno's trajectory, but was taken between 2017-07-11T01:42:08.663 and 2017-07-11T01:42:23.783 from an altitude of 11,444.6 km above Jupiter's nominal surface. This small shift of perspective brings NN-LRS-1 almost into nadir position relative to Juno, as if JunoCam would have taken the image about one and half minutes later. That way we get a perspective showing the storm similar to its actual shape, less distorted than in the original image.

The image is patched from most repetitive camer artifacts, heavily enhanced, first by approximate illumination adjustment and gamma stretch to the 4th power of radiometric values, then white balanced with consumer image processing software, further brightess-stretched in a non-linear way, saturation enhanced, point noise filtered to reduce bright pixels from energetic particle hits.
